Feeling lucky? It’s officially the Year of the Bánh Mì here at Luke’s Bánh Mì, because we’re celebrating Tết (Lunar New Year) with a crazy photo competition!

In the spirit of good fortune and celebrating our roots, we’re inviting you to get creative, pose and take your best snap wearing a traditional Vietnamese Aò Dái – all with a bánh mì as the hero, of course!

Prize – $500 Lì Xì (Red Envelope – cash prize) 🧧

One winner will take home $500 Lì Xì (Red Envelope – cash prize), awarded to the photo with the highest number of community votes on Instagram. Consider this your sign to get creative! 

How It Works…

From Friday 13th February to Tuesday 17th February (Tết), customers can submit a photo wearing a traditional Vietnamese áo dài while holding our bánh mì.

Don’t have an áo dài? No stress – traditional outfits and props will be available in-store to borrow, so everyone can join in!

📸How to Enter

1. Take a photo wearing a traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai and our banh mi. Outfit and other props will be available in-store to borrow!
2. Post your photo on Instagram (Feed or Story) and tag @lukesbanhmi (must be public). Must be following @lukesbanhmi!
3. Entries close 11:59PM Tuesday 17th February 2026.

Our team will shortlist the top four (4) entries, which will then be put to a public vote on our Instagram. Remember – we want the most creative, funniest, out-of-the-box photos you can take! 

Please keep entries respectful and family-friendly – no crude or offensive content will be considered.

T&Cs:

1. Competition by merit – Customers are to post their most creative photo in traditional Vietnamese áo dài with a Luke’s Bánh Mì product for a chance to win a $500 cash prize. Entrants will be shortlisted internally, with the top four (4) entries selected by our team. The winner will be determined by public vote on Instagram.
2. Promotion Dates – Promotion starts Fri 13th Feb 2026 & ends on Thu 19th Feb 2026. Entry is open from 9am Fri 13th Feb 2026 and closes at 11:59PM Tues 17th Feb 2026. Voting will then start on Instagram on Wed 18th Feb 2026 & ends 12PM Thu 19th Feb 2026. Winners will be contacted privately regarding their prize.
3. Eligibility – Open to residents over 15 years old in Victoria, Australia. Limit to one photo entry and vote per person. Photo must include a Luke’s Bánh Mì product and a person wearing a Vietnamese áo dài. Photo must be submitted by posting on Instagram (Story or Feed), tagging and following @lukesbanhmi. Only submitted photos that meet the criteria will be considered for shortlisting and voting.
4. Entry – Enter competition by posting a photo on Instagram wearing a traditional Vietnamese áo dài with a Luke’s Bánh Mì product, in accordance with competition instructions. 
5. Winner – the shortlisted entrant with the highest number of votes by 12PM Thu 19th Feb 2026.
   1. Content & Usage Rights – By entering the competition, entrants grant Luke’s Bánh Mì permission to use, reproduce, share and publish submitted photos for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to social media, website, digital advertising and in-store materials, without further notice or compensation. Entrants confirm they have the consent of all individuals featured in the photo.
6. Luke’s Bánh Mì reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if required.
